In 2024, this is a heritage cemetery. There are no new burials conducted on its grounds. In about 2015, the local people undertook a project to rehabilitate some of the remaining and aging markers. Those they could not put back in place are now represented with names engraved on a stone slab at the main entrance.

Though it contains the resting places of many of the earliest pioneers in the area, there are none from the families of the two French couples on your host's family tree.

However, it is important to note that the connections extend to many other families remembered here to whom those couples (and thus, all their descendants) were (and are still!) related through their own heritage prior to coming to Canada.

The location of graves and memorials dedicated to the memory of various people identified on the tree who come onto it through marriage or many marriages.
