      HBC Middleman and boute in Athabasca River, Fort Vancouver general charges (1839 - 1840); Middleman, Fort Vancouver (1840 - 1842).
      Louis St. Gré joined the HBC from the Red River settlement, as did Gabriel, on a three-year contract in 1839.
      In the spring or summer of 1842, at the end of his contract, he returned east over the Rockies.
