He was surrounded by his four beloved daughters, Moni".que, Yvette, Hélène and Michelle.
A loving and devoted family man, a loyal friend, a long-time advocate of causes and people, a pious and humble man, a bon vivant, a life-long learner, a distance athlete and dancer, and a wise and beautiful soul… Papa-Papi-Patrick was a wonderful role model and inspiration to his daughters; his three sons-in-law, Dan, Mike and Dave; his grand-children, Mathieu, Geneviève, Christian, Samuel, Nicolas, MacKenzie, Jasmine and Nayeli; and great-grandchildren Ted Olivier and Zachary.
Patrick will also be missed by his cherished sisters, Jeannette and Olive, by cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and second family at the Résidence de l’Île. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marianne (née Gervais), his father, John, and his brothers, Charles and Fred. Patrick’s smile and his infectious joie de vivre will be missed by everyone who has had the honour to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the St. Eustache Roman Catholic church at 10:30 a.m. The service will be available to view via live streaming.

Patrick Edouard Halpin, né le 15 mai 1936 à Saint Eustache au Manitoba, est passé paisiblement à l’au-delà le 13 mai 2020 à l’âge 83 à la Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie à Gatineau, Québec. Il était entouré de ses quatre filles bien-aimées, Monique, Yvette, Hélène et Michelle.
Un homme de famille tendre et dévoué, un ami fidèle, un défenseur de longue date de causes variés, un homme pieux et humble de cœur et d’esprit, un bon vivant, un apprenant permanent, un athlète d’endurance, un danceur, et une belle âme remplie de sagesse… Papa-Papi-Patrick a été un modèle formidable et une inspiration pour ses filles; ses trois beaux-fils, Daniel, Mike et David; ses petits-enfants, Mathieu, Geneviève, Christian, Samuel, Nicolas, MacKenzie, Jasmine et Nayeli; et ses arrière-petit-enfants, Ted Olivier et Zachary.
Patrick laisse aussi dans le deuil ses sœurs adorées, Jeannette et Olive, ses cousins et cousines, neveux et nièces, ses amis ainsi que sa deuxième famille à la Résidence de l’Île. Il est précédé dans la mort par sa mère, Marianne (née Gervais), son père, John, et ses frères Charles and Fred. Son sourire et sa joie de vivre contagieuse manqueront à tous ceux qui ont eu le plaisir de le connaître.
Une célébration de vie en l’honneur de Patrick aura lieu mardi le 16 août 2022 à l’église catholique Saint Eustache à 10h30. Le service sera diffusé en directe.
