She married Georges de Moissac on June 29, 1957. Working for the Canadian Pacific Railway, they raised their six children in Carberry, Macgregor, Tilston, St. Claude, Riverton and St. Jean-Baptiste. Georges passed away suddenly on July 24, 1976; Laurette devoted herself to raising her young family.
