      NELDA LYNN GMITEREK, BORN: JAN 19, 1922, DATE OF PASSING: JUL 13, 2008; It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nelda on July 13, 2008 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She will be missed by her sister Stella Skremetka; nieces, Irene and Gloria; nephews, Gary, Gregory, Gerrard and Glenn, along with their families. Nelda was predeceased by her beloved husband George; parents, Leon and Mary Kopchinsky; sister Jean Grace; nephews, Michael and George. Nelda was born in Winnipeg on January 19, 1922. She met George, the love of her life, on a blind date, they were married within the year. George and Nelda spent 53 loving years doing everything together, they will now be together again for eternity. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 28 at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave., Winnipeg, with Father V. Bushutskyy officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or to the charity of your choice. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements
