Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Germaine in 1993 and is survived by his five children, Claude (Lorraine), Denis (Michelle), Denise Church (Tim), Marc (Susanne) and Lise Gagnon (Claude) grandchildren, Joanne Kramble (Dave), Dan (Ginette), Brian (Hali), Matthieu, Michael and Andrea Kyweriga, Justin and Christopher, Ginette and Jocelyn Gagnon; great-grandchildren, Braeden and Cali Kramble and Brooke Rivard.
He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Lea Guenette, Therese Vaillancourt (Ted), Lucille St. Hillaire (Neol), Marcel (Pat), Evelyn Pelletier (Ben), Ernest (Diane) and Doris Cyr (Francois).
Dads career was that of an operating engineer of which he attained a first class certificate and worked in various capacities in the trade before retiring from Misericordia Hospital as Chief Engineer.
He served in the RCNVR during the Second World War and briefly in the RCAF.
His main passion and hobby was photography, pen and ink drawing and singing in the church choir, the Pinemuta Players and Central Park Lodge.
A thank you to the staff of CPL Parkview Place for their care, attention and compassion especially those on the sixth floor.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy 1 East at Navin Road, with viewing one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
