He was 35 years old. He came with his brother Jan, aged 26 years old. They sailed from Trieste on board the ship Eugenia and arrived at Ellis Island on April 10, 1910. They were from the village of Trubcyhn / Trypchen in West Ukraine. I don't know what method of transportation they used to come to Canada from the United States.</p> Both Harry and Jan left their wives behind. Harry's wife Anna aged 35, and their children, Maria aged 9, Peter aged 6, and Elizabeth aged 3, arrived the following year on October 21, 1911. They sailed from Hamburg, Germany to Quebec on board the Willehad. He was born on November 30, 1875 to Ivan and Gustina (n.Turanska) Balamatowski. I have been told the name could have been Balamut, but it was better to have a Polish name because of what was happening in the country at that time. (Eugene or Terry Balamatowski mentioned hearing it from Mary Batulla). Hryhory was baptized in the Greek Catholic faith. He had a brother John who came to Canada, he changed his last name to Dotsky, and his wife's name was Julia. There was one brother who remained in Europe (I don't know his name).
