He leaves to mourn his loving wife Josette (née Troisfontaines); three children, Gilberte (Denis) Godin of Lac du Bonnet, Bertrand (Theresa) Philippot from Prince Rupert, BC and Raymonde Philippot of Winnipeg; six grandchildren, Robert (Raquel), Daniel (Leslie), Christian (Kristie), Melonie (Stephane), Patrick and Stephane; five great-grandchildren, Paisley, Liberty, Eben, Avery and Landon. He also leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Julien, Joseph (Yvonne), Henri (Cecile) and Raymond (Laurette); three sisters, Nathalie Jacques, Adrienne Troisfontaines (Jose) and Louise Badiou (Aimé); and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mariette in 1956; two sisters, Angele (Andre Oliviero) and Isabelle Philippot; one brother Charles; and by one sister-in-law Claire Philippot. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. preceded by viewing and the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. with Father Célestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in the St. Claude Parish Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the St. Claude Health District Foundation, Box 400, St. Claude, MB R0G 1Z0. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff of the St. Claude Hospital for the excellent care and compassion extended to Alexis.
