Winnipeg Beach Historical Society

In 2021, the Winnipeg Beach Historical Society was formed by Wendy Peter after attempting to find a historic photo of her 1910 Winnipeg Beach cottage to no avail. The society existed initially as a Facebook group where people began to share stories and photos and was a great place of connection during the global pandemic from 2020-2023.

In 2024, as things opened up again this website was launched, a historic walking tour was developed and plans to rehab the historic caboose in Winnipeg Beach and raise funds towards a future museum began to emerge.
