Rick Dondo's Family Tree
United Baptist Church Graveyard, Springfield, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada
Notes:
Also known as Springfield Cemetery, United Baptist Cemetery
The cemetery is located on the west side of Highway 10, at Civic #1203, the Springfield Baptist Church.
On July 3, 1971, the first known survey of this cemetery was completed by Dr Allan E. Marble. Per his usual method, he did not name the cemetery but assigned it an identifying number, in this case: 103, and a location, Springfield.
At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr Marble's original survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb. At that time, the volunteers gave the cemetery the name "Springfield Cemetery" and location: Springfield.
Dr Marble transcribed 210 headstones in 1971, which he noted as being in good condition. This is an active cemetery.
The location of graves and memorials dedicated to the memory of various people identified on the tree who come onto it through marriage or many marriages.
In the event you have such an interest, your host suggests you can look for these and other memorials in this cemetery on one of the many on-line services offering catalogues of graves.
All corrections, additions, questions, and observations are welcome.
