Rick Dondo's Family Tree
Courtenay Civic Cemetery, Courtenay, Comox Valley Regional District, British Columbia, Canada
Notes:
This cemetery was originally referred to as St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Cemetery or Sandwick Presbyterian to distinguish it from the Anglican Cemetery, which was also called St. Andrew’s or Sandwick Anglican.
In 1925, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian became part of the United Church of Canada. The cemetery was then referred to as Sandwick United. The Courtenay Civic Cemetery was established in 1953 when the city took over from the United Church.
The location of graves and memorials dedicated to the memory of various people identified on the tree who come onto it through marriage or many marriages.
In the event you have such an interest, your host suggests you can look for these and other memorials in this cemetery on one of the many on-line services offering catalogues of graves.
All corrections, additions, questions, and observations are welcome.
