Notes:
Legal land location SE1-44-17-W3
The Battleford Cemetery was established in April 1889 as the first community cemetery for the town of Battleford. Various churches were each given separate areas in the new cemetery for burials of their parishioners, including the local Presbyterian, Methodist and Anglican churches and the Saint Vital Roman Catholic parish. Shortly after its opening, a number of individuals previously interred in other locations were moved to the new Battleford Cemetery, explaining why some grave markers show death dates older that 1889.
The location of graves and memorials dedicated to the memory of various people identified on the tree who come onto it through marriage or many marriages.
In the event you have such an interest, your host suggests you can look for these and other memorials in this cemetery on one of the many on-line services offering catalogues of graves.
All corrections, additions, questions, and observations are welcome.
