Rick Dondo's Family Tree
Saint George's Church-on-the-Hill Cemetery, Etobicoke, Toronto Municipality, Ontario, Canada
Notes:
In 1844, William Gamble; a miller on the Humber river donated this site on the shoreline of prehistoric Lake Iroquois to start a church and a cemetery. In October 17, 1847 the church was opened, and shortly after this the cemetery was also opened. The church cemetery has been in constant use since its inception and today has more then 220 names on its 712 stones.
The location of graves and memorials dedicated to the memory of various people identified on the tree who come onto it through marriage or many marriages.
In the event you have such an interest, your host suggests you can look for these and other memorials in this cemetery on one of the many on-line services offering catalogues of graves.
All corrections, additions, questions, and observations are welcome.
