Rick Dondo's Family Tree
Saint James Cemetery, Toronto, Toronto Municipality, Ontario, Canada
Notes:
The original St. James cemetery, adjacent to the Cathedral at King and Church streets in downtown Toronto, originally granted in 1797, was becoming too crowded, and the decision was taken to open the ‘new' St. James Cemetery. St. James Cemetery and Crematorium was officially opened in 1844 and is now the oldest continually operating cemetery in the City of Toronto.
The location of graves and memorials dedicated to the memory of various people identified on the tree who come onto it through marriage or many marriages.
In the event you have such an interest, your host suggests you can look for these and other memorials in this cemetery on one of the many on-line services offering catalogues of graves.
All corrections, additions, questions, and observations are welcome.
