GERBRIG KENNEDY (GREY) (POSTHUMA); Gerbrig (Grey) Kennedy succumbed to a number of ailments resulting from her diabetes. She was surrounded by her immediate family. Grey was predeceased by her brother-in-law Leslie Swain in 1996. She is lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Don, daughters Diane (Conrad Schuyler), Donna (David) Pfeiffer, Sharon (Alphonse) Granger, Janet Kennedy (David Robert), sister Aaltje Swain, brother Roelof Posthuma, five grandsons, three granddaughters, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Grey was born and raised in Amsterdam East and immigrated to North America on June 5, 1953. She enjoyed a full life with parenting, grandparenting, she also helped her husband run his carnival, did some individual personal care to senior citizens and especially enjoyed her volunteering with the St. Vital Victorias Junior Hockey Club. She was loved and will be missed by many. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Vista Park Lodge for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Grey to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Manitoba. Glen Lawn Funeral Home in care of arrangments
