RACHEL FOUASSE, DATE OF PASSING: DEC 31, 1969; RACHEL FOUASSE (Merel) Peacefully, with her family by her side, on December 27, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital, Rachel Fouasse, aged 86 years, passed away. Rachel was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Merel in 1975 and by her second husband Martial in October 2006. She was also predeceased by son Raymond in 1983, sister Laura Fontaine and brother Armand Genest. Rachel will be lovingly remembered by her three children Suzanne Lewis (Allan), Claudette Lesko (Alvin) and Henri Merel (Lonnie); Martial's daughters and their families; seven grandchildren, D'Arcy, Leanne (Mike), Jeffrey, Kevin, Marney (Jeremy), Kailey and Trent; three great-grandchildren Tamara, Natasha and Kenna; sister-in-law Adeline Gorzynski; and two nieces Lorraine and Cecile. Rachel's family would like to extend sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at the Tache Centre and St. Boniface Hospital for all their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Holy Cross Parish, 252 Dubuc St., the Rev. Fr. Lucien Roy, celebrant. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. We will miss you dearly.
