Mrs. Mayer was born on February 14, 1887 in Red Lake Falls, Minn., was married in 1904 to Mr. Ovide Mayer and they homesteaded in the Fisher Branch District in 1911. Predeceased by her husband Ovide in 1954, one daughter Celine in 1930 ; two sons Wilbrod in 1971 and Emery in 1977, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lea Raymond of International Falls, Minn., Mrs. Amanda Lagasse of Coquitlam, B.C., Mrs Delia Bernier and Mrs. Eva Bernier of Fisher Branch ; five sons, Ernest and Alcide of Winnipeg, Albert , Maurice and Auray of Fisher Branch ; 101 grandchildren ; 87 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
