John was born on May 22, 1954. John leaves many heavy hearts, but he is at peace after a courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his parents, Julien and Letitia; brother Gerry; Vivian, Anita, Mike and Willy.
John was a spark of light. He enjoyed people and making them smile, he always had a joke. His famous parting words were, "Stay out of Trouble". John loved puzzles, stamps, reflexology, woodworking, carpentry, and home renovations. Always busy and curious, he loved to try new things.
John’s memory will be cherished forever by Angie Stokes, siblings, Rita (John Lamy), Robert (Cecile), Lucien (Diane), Denise (Maurice Wytinck), Laurent (Larraine). Greatly missed by Maria, Katherine, Anne (Malcolm) and Barb. John will also be missed by all his nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
Rest In peace John,
we love you and miss you.
