It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "Yvonne Le Roux; January 9, 1935 - March 23, 2025 (age 90); On March 23rd, 2025, Yvonne Rose LeRoux passed at the St. Claude Health Centre, marking the end of a generation.".
Born on January 9th, 1935, to parents Julien and Mathurine LeRoux; Yvonne was one of eight siblings, all who predeceased her; François, Marie-Ange, Rene, Yolande, Armand, Clémence, and Denis. For Yvonne, the St. Claude family farm was home. The beautiful flat fields with the rolling sandy hills on the horizon brought a tranquility that Yvonne loved. In summer, pink and white cosmos filled the flower beds and brought her endless joy. Whether she was planting her favourite flowers, farming, or driving to Carman for some delicious Chicken Chef, Yvonne was always happy and friendly. Her life was beautifully simple, quiet, and filled with laughter. Throughout her ninety years of life, Yvonne witnessed many global events, from her start in the Great Depression to the innovations of the twenty-first century, like the installation of a flushing toilet on the family farm, for example. Despite how widespread television is, Yvonne still preferred to be outside, enjoying an outdoor breeze, or the whites and pinks of the sun hitting the clouds, or the beautiful cosmos that blossomed every spring. And so, when the sun rose on March 23rd, 2025, Yvonne left the world peaceful and content, knowing she spent her many days at the place she cherished, the farm, doing what she loved, with family, friends, and flowers. Yvonne leaves behind, nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Gilles, Donald, Roger, Julie, Colette, Monique, Gisèle, and Russel.
Everyone is welcome to attend a cemetery service for Yvonne at the St. Claude Parish Cemetery on Friday, May, 16, 2025 at 2 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Claude Pavilion, Box 338, St. Claude, MB R0G 1Z0.
