It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "JEAN HRYCIW (DZIEDZIC); Date of Passing: Mar 11, 2000; Peacefully, at the age of 88, on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at the Maples Nursing Home with family by her side, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean, was called to be wit".h God. Left to cherish her memories are four sons, Harvey (Marie) of Komarno, Edwin (Gloria), Percy (Frances), Stan (Sue), all of Winnipeg; 10 grandchildren, Jeff, Greg, Pamela, Michele, Trevor, Angela, Brent, Brenda, Cheryl, Keith and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Stan (Mary), Casey (Marilyn), Aden (Jean), of Toronto, Lorne of Winnipeg; sisters, Emily of Toronto and Vicky (Al) of Barrie. She was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1976; one grandchild in 1973; her parents and four brothers, Joe, Walter, Frank and Marion. God looked around his garden, And found an empty space He then looked down upon the Earth And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest, Gods garden must be beautiful He takes only the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain, He knew the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine" It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Mom was born and grew up in the Polson district where she met Dad and raised her family. A lot of special memories were made during their 45+ years on the farm. She was an active member at Polson Holy Cross Church and Komarno Holy Trinity Church. After Dad died, she moved to Teulon Cedar Lodge and became involved in St. Johns Vianny Church. This was a very special time in her life where she enjoyed gardening, needlework and a lot of travel. She was proud of the flowers and vegetables she grew in her garden. Fond memories of her are displaying her odd shaped vegetables or the tallest sunflower. She was an avid crafts person, and shared her works with a lot of friends. Her afghans and cross stitch will long be remembered especially the Ukrainian blouses for her granddaughters. Her door was always open with love and a cup of tea. Prayers will be said on Thursday, March 16 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Komarno. Interment to follow in the Komarno Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of the arrangements.
