It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "SOEUR MARIE-ANGE BRETON (SOEUR JEANNE-RITA) - BORN: MAR 13, 1922, DATE OF PASSING: SEP 26, 2010; With sorrowful hearts, we, les Filles de la Croix, announce the passing of our dear Sister Marie-Ange Breton (Soeur Jeanne-Rita) at Foyer Valade on Sep".tember 26, 2010. She was 88 years of age. Sister Marie-Ange Breton was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Raymond (Délima Bruneau) and five sisters: Marguerite (Robert Hamonic), Cécile (Germain Gosselin), Albertine (Victor Leclaire), Jeanne (Maurice Gosselin) and Hélène (Jean-Paul Péloquin). She leaves to mourn her sister, Agnès, fille de la Croix and a sister-in-law, Ryanne Péloquin as well as numerous nephews and nieces whom she cherished. Sister Marie-Ange Breton was born on March 13, 1922 in La Rochelle, Manitoba to Albert Breton and Marie Legal. She attended school in La Rochelle, St-Malo and St-Adolphe. Immediately after her studies, she began her religious formation as one of the first to attend our Canadian novitiate in 1942. In 1949, she pronounced her final vows. She served as a primary school teacher in Quebec, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for over 40 years. She also spent seven years with mentally challenged students. Her enthusiasm, imagination and creative ability won the minds and hearts of the little ones. She delighted her young audience with many a story and created a classroom full of love, joy and fun. Her friendly disposition and her attentiveness to each person drew her many friends. This friendliness and her determination helped to create many friendly moments for all regardless of her fragile physical condition. She loved people, company to converse with, games, crafts, the outdoors and appreciated the beauty of little things. Sister will be especially remembered for her wonderful mission with the little ones but also for her faithful devotion to the Eucharist and her commitment to prayer as well as her willingness to serve in so many ways. The family and the Sisters wish to thank the staffs of Maison Ste. Croix and of Foyer Valade for the loving care given to Sister Marie-Ange in the last years of her life. An evening of prayer will take place on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. and the funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held in the chapel of the Sisters of the Cross, 66 Moore Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2M 2C4. Interment will follow in the St-Adolphe Cemetery.
LeClaire Brothers in care of arrangements.
