She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Gerald (Jerry) Johnson"., in 2001.
She is survived by her sons, Greg (Rosemary) of Calgary, Grant (Sheri) of Winnipeg, and her daughter, Christine (John) of Lethbridge. She was a proud grandmother to Christopher (Suzanne), Jennifer (Trevor) and Matthew (Shawna), as well as five great-grandchildren, Blair, Zoey, Charlie, Kyler and Emmett.
Mom spent years of being a stay-at-home mom before embarking on a career in retail. Her journey eventually led her to become an Educational Assistant for the St. James-Assiniboia School Division, until her retirement.
Later, they moved to Gimli, MB, embracing the joys of retirement. Following Dad's passing, Mom moved to Lethbridge, Alberta, where she actively engaged with numerous senior groups, winning tournaments for cribbage, choir, lawn bowling and curling. Loving her life in Lethbridge, she formed enduring friendships and created cherished memories along the way.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to AdaptaCare (Lethbridge) for their great care and compassion. A special acknowledgement and thanks goes to her close friend, Marvin Kirchner and his dog, Piper.
Mom, we love you and you will be deeply missed, but your enduring love and spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew you.
Mom will be interred at a later date alongside her husband in Gimli, Manitoba, a final journey symbolizing the love they shared.
