ADELINE MALZENSKY (HAUSER), BORN: MAY 11, 1930, DATE OF PASSING: OCT 17, 2017; Peacefully on October 17, 2017, Adeline Malzensky (nee Hauser) passed away at Middlechurch Personal Care Home where she spent the last seven and a half years of her almost two decade struggle with dementia. Born in Winnipeg on May 11, 1930, she lived most of her life in the heart of the North End. She married the love of her life, Henry Malzensky (Andy) on May 5, 1951 after a brief courtship. Their family grew a few years later with the blessed additions of their son, Philip and daughter, Jocelyne. Adeline was an exceptional cook and baker who also loved working in her beautiful gardens. Music always made her smile, especially when she "waltzing with her darling". Adeline was predeceased by her parents Lily and Jacob Hauser, husband Henry (Andy) Malzensky, brother Jerry Hauser (Diane), brother-in-law, Bill Morlock (Mildred), as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, from Henry's family. Some very dear friends will also be waiting for Adeline in heaven. She leaves behind loved ones to celebrate her life. Rejoicing in her new journey are son, Philip and Lisa Malzensky and grandsons Chad and Ryan (Allyson), daughter Jocelyne and Terry Fidyk and grandchildren Lee and Amber, sister, Mildred Morlock, sister-in-law Diane Hauser and brother-in-law Steve Malzensky. Adeline also leaves behind several nieces and nephews that she enjoyed spending time with. Family are so very grateful that Adeline was able to clearly express things she wanted to say to those closest to her, in the last three weeks of her life. The fog of dementia lifted for brief moments over the course of that time, allowing her to lovingly say goodbye, which was a beautiful gift for family. We would like to express appreciation to the staff of Middlechurch who cared for mom, particularly in those last difficult days, as well as to Dr. David Haligowski and Dr. Erwin Braun who supported mom's wishes for true comfort care. A joyous celebration of Adeline's life and wonderful new journey will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 am, Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Adeline Malzensky can be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba.
