ROSE-ANNA DARROCH, BORN: FEB 09, 1920, DATE OF PASSING: MAR 11, 2010; Peacefully at the Maples Personal Care Home, surrounded by her family, Mrs. Rose-Anna Darroch, beloved wife of Warren Darroch of Winnipeg, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the age of 90 years. She is survived by two sisters, Mari-Ange Carman, Claudette Sokolan, and sister-in-law Georgia Lemoine; her extended family Kay Walker, Vernon Darroch, Norman Darroch and Linda Daneliuk, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in St. Adelard, MB on February 9, 1920, to George and Aglaé Lemoine, Rose-Anna was educated at the Rondeau School then moving to Winnipeg. She later moved to Toronto where she was employed in an ammunition factory during the War, coming back to Winnipeg and working at the St. Boniface Hospital in the Patients' Account Department as supervisor for 27 years. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Avenue. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Inwood, MB.
