LEONA JOHNSON (REY), BORN: DEC 13, 1931, DATE OF PASSING: MAR 29, 2019; It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Leona Johnson in the early morning of March 29, 2019.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years Adrian (Curly) and also her parents, Adrien and Thérèse Rey; sister and brothers, Renée, Guy and Fern; as well as in-laws, Arnold, Louis, Stan and Sophie
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kevin (Terry), Kent (Isabell) and Janine (Ron Delaquis) and family; also sisters, Lucille, Gilberte and sister-in-law Doris and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leona was born on December 13, 1931 in Haywood, Manitoba. She was a loving mom and caregiver who enjoyed delivering and meeting her Avon clients. In her past time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking for all to enjoy. Her quick wit and humour will be greatly missed.
A special thank you to the staff on the fourth floor at St. Boniface Hospital family medicine, especially Tracy, for the care they gave mom.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
