LEON HAMONIC, DATE OF PASSING: OCT 05, 2003; It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leon Hamonic at the Centre Medico Social in St. Pierre-Jolys, on October 5, 2003, at the age of 80 years. Leons first wife, Cecilia Gosselin passed away in 1972. He remarried Therese (Forest) Laroche in 1976. They had a son Donald. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Therese; children, Lynne (Michele), Carole (Philip), Julie (Arthur), Darrel (Debbie), Clarence (Barb), Denis (Michelle), Roger (Gisele), Suzanne (Luc), Michel (Aline), Marc (Kim), Rene (Nicole, Ginette (Donald), Annette (Jake, Luc (Michaela), Jacqueline (Jay) and Donald as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his brothers and sisters, Marcel (Janet), Cecile (Noel), Edouard (Rolande), Jean, Rolande, Beatrice (Gaetan) and Therese (Leo), and numerous friends. Leon was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Leontine; his brothers, Robert (Marguerite, deceased) and Eugene (Jacqueline) son-in-law, Alain Sobieux and grandchild, Sylvain. The family wishes to thank the staff at the DeSalaberry and District Centre for their care and compassion in making Leons passing comfortable. Funeral mass will be concelebrated by Father Joseph Choiselat and Deacon Louis Gosselin at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, MB on Thursday, October 9 at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leons memory to the DeSalaberry and District Palliative Care Unit, P.O. Box 88, St. Pierre-Jolys, MB R0A 1V0. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.

THERESE EDMEE HAMONIC, BORN: OCT 11, 1930, DATE OF PASSING: APR 21, 2015; THERESE EDMEE HAMONIC (née LAROCHE) Peacefully passed away at the St. Pierre-Jolys Repos on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the age of 84. Thèrese was born October 11, 1930 in St. Pierre-Jolys. She married Albert Forest on October 24, 1953, and they lived on a farm in LaRochelle, Manitoba. She married her second husband Léon Hamonic in April 29, 1976, they lived in St. Malo, Manitoba. Mom enjoyed sewing and knitting, and baking, especially chocolate cakes and cookies for spoiling her grandchildren. Mom had an open door and there was always room for someone at her supper table. She enjoyed playing cards and family gatherings. A ma famille, je vous aime et vous êtes dans mes pensée et dans mon coeur. She was predeceased by her first husband Albert Forest on October 4, 1974 and by her second husband Léon Hamonic on October 5, 2003. She leaves to mourn her passing her 10 children: Roger (Gisèle) Forest, Suzanne (Luc) Hébert, Michel (Aline) Forest, Marc (Kim) Forest, René (Nicole) Forest, Ginette (Donald) Maynard, Annette (Jacob) Giesbrecht, Luc (Michaela) Forest, Jacqueline (Jason) Philipchuk, Donald (Amy) Hamonic; 28 grandchildren, Kim (Chris), Shaun (Lynette), Lynne, Josée (Chad), Chantal (Richard), Jeremy (Vanessa), Justin (Samantha), Darrel (Christy), Caroline (Ryan), Rossel (Julie), Timothy, Marlene (Jason), Crystal (Dwayne), Ashley (Patrick), Albert (Amie), David, Christopher, Charles, Mathieu (Krista), Rémi (Marie-France), Reginald (Casey), Tyler (Cheri), Natasha, Tamara, Jayden, Jevyn, Shelby (Samantha), Isabella, Maximus; and 21 great-grandchildren: Haley, Cody, Kaylyn, Tyler, Janice, Logan, Mason, Sophia, Emilie, Rylan, Danica, Alexandre, Xavier, Tarren, Jada, Jayden, Nicholas, Julie, Paxton, Max, Emma. She also leaves to mourn five stepchildren, Lynne, Darrel (Debbie), Carole (Alain, deceased), Clarence (Barbara), Denis (Michelle), Julie (Arthur, deceased) and stepgrandkids. Also left to mourn are her brothers, Edouard, Lucien, Arthur (Céline) and her sister Cécile (Marcien). Funeral services will be held in the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Prayers, eulogy and video tribute at 10:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dominic La Fleur officiating. Interment will take place after Mass at the St. Malo Parish Cemetery. Thank you to the staff of the Repos, especially Joelle. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Repos Jolys in St. Pierre. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements.
