ANGELE HAMONIC (née GOSSELIN), July 1, 1952 - April 16, 2022; Que Dieu t'accueille dans Son royaume!; Angèle is survived by Marc, her husband of 50 years, and their four children, Roxelle, Fae (Anthony), Guy (Maggie), and Patrick (Ashley). Mom will be so missed by her grandchildren, "ses p'tits coeurs" Dani; Tricia (Gus), Parker, Nate, Tessa; Ava, Hunter, Gavin, River; Paxton, and Everitt - les plus beaux et les plus fins! She loved spoiling them with her baking, treats, hugs, kisses, and her time.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ovila and Cécile; her parents-in-law, Eugène and Jacqueline; her infant brother Raymond; and brother Louis. Mom was the seventh of 11 children. They were extremely close, spending many happy hours around the campfire or having morning coffee on the deck.
Eighteen years after surviving breast cancer, Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized breast cancer. God gifted us with four and a half more years post diagnosis. We took full advantage of His gift and made so many wonderful and special memories during this time.
Mom never turned down an adventure! She enjoyed travelling and seeing new places. She enjoyed time at the cabin, casino trips, lunch with her Golden Girls, shopping, beaching at the Bocage, and spending time with her family.
Mom faced her illness with grace and great faith; a true hero and nurse until the end.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team and the Home Care team for helping us care for her at home. Just like Mom, those who enter the nursing field are truly special.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church, St. Malo, MB; with prayers beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery.
