A Rememberance Gathering will be held on Friday, November 9, 2001, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Larters Club House, 30 River Rd., St. Andrews, M".B., telephone (204) 334-2107. Michael passed away suddenly in Calgary on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 while visiting at the home of his son Vincent. He will be sadly missed by his loving family. His life has been a story of giving, loving and joking. He and his companion, friend and wife Jennie shared 51 years building their homes and lives, first in Winnipeg, then Peachland, B.C., as a centre of love and a welcoming place for their children and grandchildren. Michael was a person who valued honesty, social justice, and devotion to his family and friends. Michael treasured times with his family. He was one of six children born to John and Anastasia Boyko. Although miles separated his family, he was always close to his brothers, Steve (Rose), Peter (Betty) sisters, Ann (Chuck), Estelle (Carl), Sonja (Glenn) and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Most of all, Michael loved, joked with, argued with, and treasured his and Jennies children and grandchildren. Lorn (Carol, Briar, Bevin), Murray Greg (Deb, Scott, Lia) Lorenda (Larry, Ben, Tiffaney, Thomas) and Vince (Sharon, Anthony). He was a kind and caring soul who will remain in our hearts forever. We accept your leaving, Michael, but youll always be with us and as you would say "Its Okay". Michael will be sadly missed. On his behalf, we thank you for the time, friendship and love you gave him.
