It is with great sadness, after a courageous battle, that we announce the passing of our brother and uncle George Manchulenko at the Morris General Hospital on Thursday May 3, 2001 at the age of 68 years.
George was born in Silver Plains on June 21, 1932 where he lived and farmed until moving into Morris due to health problems.
George is survived by brother Michael (wife Jean) sisters Marion Zahara (husband William) and Vivian Clubb (husband Barrie) sister-in-law Shirley Manchulenko; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father John in 1971, brother William in 1993, and mother Tekla in 1995.
A private family funeral service will be held in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in the Morris Cemetery.
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Psalm 23, Verse 6
Special thanks to the Morris General Hospital medical and nursing staff as well as Jan Serediuk of Home Care, and all who helped to look after his needs. We truly appreciated it.
Should friends so desire, donations in Georges memory may be made to the Morris General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Box 519, Morris, MB, R0G 1K0.
