Suddenly, Roland Henri Arbez passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 89.
Roland will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (née Marsh), his son Henri (Nicole) and daughter Evelyn Vouriot (Richard); as well as his cherished grandchildren: Ethan, Jérémie and Jaden Vouriot and Justin and Caroline Arbez. He is also survived by his siblings, Gilles (Marcy), Simone Lemoine (Fern) and Marcel (Patsy); sisters-in-law, Gisèle and Tina; and his brother-in-law Andy Marsh (Nancy). Roland is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Roland was predeceased by his parents, Gaston and Caroline (née Gousseau); and his brothers, Emile, Maurice and Denis.
Dad was born in St. Claude, MB on December 30, 1932. After graduating from Collège St. Boniface, Dad worked as an accountant for Sunshine Uniforms until his retirement in 1994.
Dad was passionate about everything he loved in life such as his family, the cottage, the many road trips to the casino, his garden and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Dad was always a strong, proud and quiet man.
We would like to thank all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital on the 6W unit for the care they gave Dad in his final days.
Because of current COVID restrictions, no Celebration of Life will be held at this time.
We will love and miss you
and will see you again.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
