      John Stolar, January 26, 2020; John Stolar passed away peacefully on January 26, 2020 at the age of 90 at Betel Home in Selkirk, Manitoba with his beloved wife Ella and family at his bedside.

      He leaves five children Susan Petaski (Joe), Dan Stolar (Dianne), Karen Jonasson (Bill), Colleen Jenkinson, Val Jardine (Grant), 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Lyle Wilson, sisters-in-law Rose Preachuk and Stella; and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

      John was predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Matrona Stolar; infant brother John and sister Joan; brothers Alex and Joe Preachuk, Ed (Anne), Peter (Lena) and Philip Stolar; sisters Mary Boch and Lena Kotowich; brothers-in-law Walter Boch, Mike Kotowich and sisters-in-law Ann Preachuk, Jerry Wilson, Chris Wilson; parents-in-law Russ and Mary Wilson.

      John was born January 24, 1930. He was employed with CPR for 38 years working his way from switchman to brakeman, to conductor to engineer. His last ten years spent as an engineer.

      John was gregarious, fun loving man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

      The family would like to thank Dr. Brown, the nursing staff and care givers at Betel Home for their excellent care and kindness.

      Ella would also like to thank Lucianno for his gift of music.

      In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of John.

      His celebration of life will be cancelled due to the current state of affairs.
