Norbert was predeceased by his parents, Pierre and Marie-Louise Dacquay, his brother Marcel Dacquay, his parents-in-law Joseph and Élise Robitaille, his brothers in-law, David Gallagher, Denis Robitaille, René Lussier, Albert Déquier, Gerry Cleutinx and his nephew Claude Déquier. Norbert was a devoted husband and father who had a deep Catholic faith. He had a strong work ethic, working many years on the farm, then as a barber and plumber. He was a sales representative at Crane Supply for over 25 years and finished his work years with Handyman Connection and his own company Mr. Fix. Norbert enjoyed hosting many family gatherings and serving his renown homemade wine and beer. He had a great passion for family history and his beloved hometown of Notre Dame de Lourdes. He was an avid nature enthusiast who loved camping with his family, and he also had a creative artistic side, he loved the fiddle, old-time music and decorating for Christmas. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Memorial Vigil Service will be held at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 180 de la Cathedrale Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00pm with Father Isaïe Blanchette officiating and Deacon Guy Dacquay assisting.
