After a lengthy illness Norbert passed away at the Grace General Hospital on October 30, 2022, at the age of 83 years.
He leaves to mourn his wife Fernande Dacquay (née Robitaille), his children, Guy (Christine) Dacquay, Diane Dacquay and Alice (Colin) Le Cunff; grandchildren, Luc Dacquay (Monica Marcello), Hélène (Rob) Halpin, Stéphane (Julia) Dacquay, Louis Dacquay, Mathieu Dacquay, Jean-François Dacquay, Richard Le Cunff, Chantal Le Cunff (Curtis Ehn) and great grandchildren, André, Mylaine, Léo, Isabelle, Samuel, Lucy, Jane, Sophie and Adèle. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, André (Marie) Dacquay, Lucille (Gilles) Collet, Agnès Gallagher, Yvette (Gordon) Murphy, Raynald Dacquay (Maria Petley) and Thérèse (Glen) Herner as well as his in-laws, Régina (Roméo) Roch, Simone Déquier (Omer Boulet), Christiane Cleutinx and Mary Robitaille along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Norbert was predeceased by his parents, Pierre and Marie-Louise Dacquay, his brother Marcel Dacquay, his parents-in-law Joseph and Élise Robitaille, his brothers in-law, David Gallagher, Denis Robitaille, René Lussier, Albert Déquier, Gerry Cleutinx and his nephew Claude Déquier.
Norbert was a devoted husband and father who had a deep Catholic faith. He had a strong work ethic, working many years on the farm, then as a barber and plumber. He was a sales representative at Crane Supply for over 25 years and finished his work years with Handyman Connection and his own company Mr. Fix. Norbert enjoyed hosting many family gatherings and serving his renown homemade wine and beer. He had a great passion for family history and his beloved hometown of Notre Dame de Lourdes. He was an avid nature enthusiast who loved camping with his family, and he also had a creative artistic side, he loved the fiddle, old-time music and decorating for Christmas. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Memorial Vigil Service will be held at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 180 de la Cathedrale Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 7:30pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00pm with Father Isaïe Blanchette officiating and Deacon Guy Dacquay assisting. Viewing and Video Tribute will be held prior.
The service will be available via Livestreaming.

Après une longue maladie, Norbert est décédé à l’Hôpital général Grace le 30 octobre 2022, à l'âge de 83 ans.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Fernande Dacquay (née Robitaille), ses enfants, Guy (Christine) Dacquay, Diane Dacquay et Alice (Colin) Le Cunff; petits-enfants, Luc Dacquay (Monica Marcello), Hélène (Rob) Halpin, Stéphane (Julia) Dacquay, Louis Dacquay, Mathieu Dacquay, Jean-François Dacquay, Richard Le Cunff, Chantal Le Cunff (Curtis Ehn) et arrière-petits-enfants, André, Mylaine , Léo, Isabelle, Samuel, Lucy, Jane, Sophie et Adèle. Norbert a été précédé par ses parents, Pierre et Marie-Louise Dacquay, son frère Marcel Dacquay, ses beaux-parents Joseph et Élise Robitaille, ses beaux-frères, David Gallagher, Denis Robitaille, René Lussier, Albert Déquier, Gerry Cleutinx et son neveu Claude Déquier.
Norbert était un mari et un père dévoué qui avait une profonde foi catholique. Il avait une solide éthique de travail, travaillant de nombreuses années à la ferme, puis comme barbier et plombier. Il a été représentant commercial chez Crane Supply pendant plus de 25 ans et a terminé ses années de travail avec Handyman Connection et sa propre entreprise, Mr. Fix. Norbert aimait organiser de nombreuses réunions de famille et servir son célèbre vin et sa bière maison. Il avait une grande passion pour l'histoire familiale et sa ville natale bien-aimée de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. C'était un passionné de nature qui aimait camper avec sa famille, et il avait aussi un côté artistique créatif, il aime beaucoup le violon, la musique d'antan et la décoration de Noël. Il manquera profondément à sa famille et à ses amis.
Le service de la veillée commémorative aura lieu à la cathédrale Saint-Boniface, 180, avenue de la Cathédrale, Winnipeg, Manitoba, le vendredi 4 novembre 2022 à 19 h 30.
La messe de funérailles sera célébrée en l'église catholique romaine Notre Dame de Lourdes le samedi 5 novembre 2022 à 13h00 avec le père Isaïe Blanchette comme célébrant et le diacre Guy Dacquay assistant. Le visionnage et l'hommage vidéo auront lieu avant.
