Eliza was born in La Rivière, MB on October 25, 1927. She was married to the late Fernando (Pete) Fifi. They had three children, Marilyn, Jerry and Florence. Eliza was known for sharing her life experiences. She loved giving advice to fellow green thumbs. She loved talking about her plants, flowers and sharing time with her family. She enjoyed travelling in town on her scooter and doing hook rugs. She cherished her dog Susie, and her bird Pikachu. She loved to visit her nephew Donald's farm in Amaranth. She enjoyed the peacocks, cows and to talk about the past when her brother and sister-in-law lived on the farm across the road. She especially enjoyed seeing the new calves and walking around the farm. Eliza's family will keep her spirit and memories alive by sharing stories and taking time for family gatherings around the table.
Eliza leaves to mourn her children, Marilyn Chevrier, Jerry (Rose) Fifi and Florence (Charles) Ward; her grandchildren, Remie, Carl, Marie, Duane (Vanessa), Chris, Kim, Jamie, Ryan (Val), Michelle (Brodie) and Derek (Christine); her great-grandchildren, Chantelle, Keira, Treena, Jayden, Adrien, Kayden, Kaylynn, Noah, Eve, Rayne, Layla, Kai, Nuella and Nitiri; one sister Bernadette; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
She is predeceased by her mother Alida and by her father William; siblings, Raphiel, Levine, Lucy, Leon, Elsie, Bernet and her by son-in-law Emile Chevrier.
Funeral services will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30. A private family interment will follow at the St. Claude Cemetery.
