It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "ANNE-MARIE PHILIPPOT (PROULX) DATE OF PASSING: FEB 25, 2022; It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anne-Marie Philippot (née Proulx) on Friday, February 25, 2022.".
Anne-Marie was predeceased by her husband Louis Philippot; her daughter Marina and her granddaughter Sophie Charrière; her parents, Rose and Adelme Proulx; her brothers, Joseph and Eugène; her sisters, Rita, Léonne and Cécile. She was also predeceased by her son Miguel Louis; her daughter Lynne's twin, at their birth.
She leaves to mourn her children, Lynne Philippot (Ernest Miron), Richard Philippot (Jill), Doris Belliveau (Tim) and Jeanine Philippot (Luc Charrière); her grandchildren, Melissa Tellier (Ray), Naomi Sandback-Wight (Ian), Nicholas Wight (Chelsea), Shanna Herman (Derrik), Daniel Charrière (Carlie); her great-grandchildren, Brianne and Riley, Tasha and Ava, Everley and George, Cali and Noah. Also mourning her loss are her brother Marcel Proulx (Louise); her sister Jacqueline Proulx (Danny); her sisters-in-law, Madeleine Dedieu (Charles) and Roseline Oed (Charlie); her brothers-in-law, Charles Philippot (Léonie) and Guy Philippot (Georgette).
Anne-Marie was born in 1938 and was raised in Otterburne. She married Louis in 1957 and they set up their home in St. Claude, MB. At the age of 26, and with five children, she returned to Normal School and completed her teaching certificate. Her life-long desire to become a teacher came to fruition.
Her six grandchildren and her eight great- grandchildren brought her tremendous joy. The years spent with them built strong bonds of love.
She cherished and lovingly talked about her community of family and special friends. Time with family and broader social gatherings nourished her and brought great joy.
We were blessed to palliate mom in her apartment. It was a difficult and fruitful journey. A very special thanks to the community palliative care team, and her primary home care aides, Charis, Mimi, Nida and Princess.
There will be a celebration of mom's life later to be announced in St. Claude, Manitoba where she will be interred.
Family and friends may sign a book of condolence online.
