It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "LORNA KIRKPATRICK, BORN: JUL 13, 1952, DATE OF PASSING: SEP 25, 2021; Lorna Kirkpatrick, age 69, sadly passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, with her loving husband and sister Donna by her side.".
Lorna was born on July 13, 1952 and never grew old, her soul was made of sunshine and she had a heart of gold, her eyes were as bright as shinning stars and cheeks like a rose.
She fought a long and hard battle with cancer over the past six years with her loving husband Rick of 50 years. Lorna and Rick met in the fall of 1969 and married shortly after she graduated high school.
She always gave the best hugs and loving support to those in need. She also kept busy sewing, baking, bird watching, doing cross-stitch, camping, bargain hunting and chatting with family and friends. She was the most amazing wife, daughter, sister, aunty and friend.
She is going to be missed dearly by her true love Rick, father Tim, loving sister Donna, her sunshine niece Tammy and husband Ryan, pride and joy great-nieces, Dalyce, Addison and Quinn and nephew David. She also leaves behind her loving brother-in-law Bob and Nancy, niece Lisa and nephew Rob and their families, along with aunts and numerous cousins.
Lorna was predeceased by her mom Therese.
I would like to thank the nursing staff on 6D and ICU Med at the Health Sciences Centre for their loving and caring efforts to provide comfort to Lorna during her stays with them, during her recovery from her last bout of cancer and her final days.
Heaven gained the most beautiful angel who will always be watching over her family as that's who always came first in her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorna's name to CancerCare Manitoba would be greatly appreciated.
