Alixe est née à Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes le 3 mai 1936. Elle enseigne deux ans avant de se consacrer à la famille qu’elle fondera après son mariage en 1958. Elle continue à œuvrer au foyer familial et en 1976, elle travaille comme guide touristique à la Monnaie royale canadienne de Winnipeg jusqu’à sa retraite en 1991. Elle était dévouée à sa famille et très fière de tous ses petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants.
La messe des funérailles sera célébrée le samedi 19 novembre 2022 à 11h00 à la Cathédrale de Saint-Boniface. La messe sera concélébrée par le Frère Germain Kpakafi et Mgr Noël Delaquis. L’inhumation des cendres à Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes sera fait privément. Ceux et celles qui désirent faire un don peuvent le faire à la mémoire d’Alixe à la Fondation des maladies du cœur et de l’AVC du Canada ou à Cancercare Manitoba.

On November 11, 2022 Mrs. Alixe Bosc (née Chanel), beloved wife of the late René Bosc, passed away at the age of 86 years. Alixe leaves to mourn her three sons André (Pauline), Paul (Julienne) and Joël (Lois); grandchildren Jacinte (Matt), René (Julie), Daniel (Janine), Julien (Nikita), Rachèle (Steven), Pierre (Caroline), Chanelle (Patrick), Diane (Jess), Denis (Kate) and Chantale (Jeremy); great-grandchildren Cavence, Grayson, Tessa, Isabelle, Marilou, Rosalie, Benoît, Marnie, Keira and Louis. She also leaves behind her twin sister Rolande (Albert) Bazin, her sister-in-law Rolande Chanel and her brother-in-law Hubert (Thérèse) Bosc, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Eugène and Rosalie (Monchamp) Chanel, her brothers and sisters Yvonne (Paul) Ronceray, Joseph (Marie), Virginie (Albert) Ronceray, Julie (André) Mabon, Antoine (Béatrice) and Guy, sister-in-law Eliane (Paul) Boulet, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Alixe was born in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on May 3rd, 1936. She taught for two years before marrying her beloved René and starting her family. She continued her role as a devoted wife and mother and in 1976, she began her career as a tour guide with the Royal Canadian Mint, retiring in 1991. She cherished her time with family and was very proud of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the St. Boniface Cathedral. The funeral mass will be concelebrated by Brother Germain Kpakafi and Msgr Noël Delaquis. Private internment at a future date in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, MB. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Alixe’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to Cancercare Manitoba.
