It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "SOEUR EUGENIE de MOISSAC; Date of Passing: Dec 15, 2003; (S. MARIE-THERESE) Le lundi, 15 decembre 2003, vers 16h30 a linfirmerie des Missionnaires Oblates, 601 Aulneau, Soeur Eugenie fit son passage de sa demeure terrestre a sa demeure celeste pou".r y rencontrer face a face son Dieu damour. SISTER EUGENIE DE MOISSAC (MARIE-THERESE) On Monday, December 15, 2003 around 4:30 p.m. at the Infirmary of the Missionary Oblate Sisters, 601 Aulneau, Sister Eugenie made her passage from her earthly abode to her heavenly home, there to come face to face with her God of love. She was 95 years of age, 68 years as a religious sister. Eugene was the fifth of a family of 12 children of which she was the sole survivor. To grieve her passing she leaves a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, numerous nephews and nieces as well as many friends and the members of her Oblate community. Her father, Henri de Moissac, was born in Poitiers, France, and her mother, Agnes Lachance, was from St. Norbert, MB, where the family lived for many years. The de Moissac home was filled with warmth and affection. No need to beg for love in that entourage. Eugenie was marked by it. Eugenie worked for many years as a teacher and almost uniquely with young children to whom she devoted herself like a real mother. The little ones literally adored her. God had bestowed on her many gifts which she allowed to bloom. She had a great sense of humour, she loved to laugh and make others laugh. The warmth of her smile and welcoming of everyone was contagious. She was a very refined lady always ready to go out of her way to anyone in need of help. She had a predilection for the poor. For her religious Sisters, she was a very pleasant companion, full of zest for life. Until her very last moments, prayer was of utmost importance in her life. Her unshakable trust in Mother Sacred Heart (Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) supported her in the good as well as the bad moments in life. She inspired that same confidence in those around her. She incessantly expressed her gratitude for the least attention, the smallest service. Dear Eugenie, you are now with Maman Sacre-Coeur and it is evident that you will ask her to watch over us! Adieu! Prayers will be recited on Thursday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Missionary Oblate Sisters, 601 Aulneau St. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the same address. Father Albert Bouffard, omi, will preside the celebration. Inurnment will be on Friday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
