He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Eva, daughter Carolyn (Derrick) and grandsons James and Matthew, and son Brad (Cheryl and her children Joshua and Renee). He also leaves his brother Jim (Carol), niece Christine, nephew Darren, special cousins, Irene Bader, Ken (Heather) Bochurka, and Joanne Warwick, and in-laws, Emily Yurchi, Karl (Denise) Dern, Jacob (Sylvia) Dern, Edward Dern, Lawrence Dern and their families. George was predeceased by his father, John in 1968, and mother Mary in 2002. George was born on April 22, 1936 in Winnipeg Beach and attended school there. Upon completion of schooling, he began working in the family business; beginning in the farm implements dealership in the Interlake, and in 1970, moving to the grocery store in Winnipeg Beach until his retirement in 1996.
