He leaves behind daughters, Diane Conolly and Corinne (Martin Shidel); grandchildren, Danielle and Glen Conolly; stepdaughters, Michelle Lam (Tony Leong), Janine Lemay-Troche (Harry Troche), and Jacqueline Lemay (Darcy Dueck) and their families; stepson-in-law Denis Duguay and his family; stepdaughter-in-law Patricia Dureski; sister Anna Amborsky; and friend Donald Conolly.
Emilien was predeceased by his first wife of 53 years, Jeannine (Tellier); second wife of eight years, France Lemay (Vermette); stepchildren, Paulette Duguay (Lemay) and Roland Lemay; parents, Marie (Charrière) and Emile; and siblings, Louis, Joseph, Aurel, Rita Beaudet, Irene Le Floch, Romeo, and Henriette Philippe.
Emilien was born on January 2, 1928, in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB. At the age of 17, he apprenticed to an electrician and in 1948, he was hired as a pole-setter by the Manitoba Power Commission (now Manitoba Hydro). After taking his lineman training, he worked on crews bringing electricity to rural Manitoba. While working his way up, he resided in Steinbach, St. Pierre-Jolys, and Tyndall, and retired in 1986 as the District Operating Supervisor of the amalgamated Beausejour district. Emilien enjoyed woodworking, gardening, winemaking, curling, golfing, a variety of card games, doing word search puzzles and reading his beloved Winnipeg Free Press.
The family would like to thank the staff of Actionmarguerite St. Vital (Foyer Valade) for the service and care they provided to Emilien.
