It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "FRED BOITSON, DATE OF PASSING: MAY 28, 2005; Peacefully after a brief illness, Fred Boitson of Winnipeg Beach, passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital on May 28, 2005 at the age of 87. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Bernice"., sons, Rick (Henri) and Kerry; grandchildren, Kevin and Danielle; sisters, Helen Hoel and Pauline Zelenitsky; brother Steve and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, parents, Peter and Annie; brothers, Harry, Nick and Bill and sisters, Mary Pidruchny, Beatrice Sorenson, Lillian Naften and Rose Bondarchuk. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach on Thursday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ernest Kamath officiating. Private family burial at a later date. Fellow members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 61, Winnipeg Beach will form a Guard of Honour and Colour Party. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CancerCare or Diabetes Association. Fred will be sadly missed by his family , his many friends and his best friend, Koko. All Fred's friends, please consider yourselves honorary pallbearers. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
