FERNAND AMINOT Peacefully, after a long courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Fernand Aminot passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the age of 74 years. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Fern, Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Brother. Fern was born April 13, 1935 in Cardinal, Manitoba to the late Josephine Robitaille and Jean Aminot. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanette (née Lesage); sons: Brian (Chantal), Denis, Marc and Claude; grandchildren: Nolan, Myles and Rayna. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his sisters and brothers and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Fern worked for C.N. Rail for 10 years and was a dedicated custodian for the St. Boniface School Division from 1962 to his retirement in 1996. Fern enjoyed camping and spent many happy summers at the Big Whiteshell Lake. His loving nature and kindness will be fondly remembered by family and friends. With respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Services will be held at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Rosary, eulogy and video tribute at 1:30 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. with Father Léon Mubikayi officiating. Family interment in the Parish Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Cummings, the doctors and the staff at 3E Riverview Health Centre for their care of Fernand. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted to Riverview Health Centre or CancerCare Manitoba. Fern will be missed by all. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements.
