      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre chère maman et grand-maman Cécile Philippot, survenue paisiblement au Pavillon de St. Claude, le 22 février 2024 à l’âge de 90 ans.
      Elle laisse dans le deuil ses six enfants, Gilbert, Roger, Nicole (Dan), Rhéal (Colleen), Daniel et Patrick (Ginette); 14 petits-enfants, Glenn, Ian, Mark, Jennifer (Karl), Michelle (Asko), Colin (Taylor), Rachelle, Angie (Chris), Christine (Jeremaya), Michel (Solange), Ginette (Mat), Stephan, Rhéanne et Joelle; ainsi que plusieurs arrière-petits-enfants et arrière-arrière-petits-enfants; une sœur Antoinette Vandel, un frère Rémi LeRoux; ses belles-sœurs Jean LeRoux, Mary LeRoux, Adrienne Philippot, Yvonne Philippot et Laurette Philippot ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces, parents et amis.
      Elle fut précédée par son époux de 57 ans, Henri; sa fille enfant Raymonde et son fils Normand; sa belle-fille Heather; ses parents Yves and Marie-Josephe LeRoux; deux frères, Henri et Charles; deux sœurs, Rolande Débusschère et Odile Bergeron; douze beaux-frères : Robert Vandel, Edouard Débusschère, George Bergeron, André Oliviero, Arthur Jacques, José Troisfontaines, Aimé Badiou, Julien Philippot, Charles Philippot, Alexis Philippot, Joseph Philippot et Raymond Philippot; et huit belles-soeurs: Angèle Oliviero, Claire Philippot, Isabelle Philippot, Lucienne Philippot, Mariette Philippot, Josette Philippot, Nathalie Jacques et Louise Badiou.
      Cécile est née et a grandi à St. Claude, Manitoba ou elle rencontra et maria Henri Philippot. Ensemble ils ont élevé leur famille de sept enfants sur leur ferme laitière. Une fois à la retraite, ils aimaient bien voyager avec leur famille et leurs amis. Cécile aimait beaucoup recevoir les gens chez elle, où elle passait de nombreuses heures à préparer avec amour, de délicieux repas. Elle avait le pouce vert et avait une grande passion pour le jardinage. Nous pouvions souvent la trouver dans son jardin s’occupant de ses fleurs, légumes, et ses buissons fruitiers. La famille et la communauté étaient importantes pour Cécile. Elle passa d’innombrables heures à être au service de ses bien-aimés, à donner de son temps et de son énergie, ainsi que de faire du bénévolat lors d’évènements communautaires. Et cela, toujours avec un beau sourire au visage. Femme de conviction, sa foi lui apportait beaucoup de réconfort et de consolation – en moments de joie, de tristesse et de maladie.
