DIANE EDNA HAUSER, BORN: OCT 26, 1943, DATE OF PASSING: NOV 14, 2022; It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Diane Edna Hauser, 79 years old, on the morning of November 14, 2022. After many years of recurring and problematic health issues, she decided that it was time she set herself off on her own journey.
She was born in Winnipeg on October 26, 1943 to Cyril and Nettie Mestdagh. She was predeceased by husband Jerry Hauser; her parents Cyril and Nettie; her siblings Donald (Dorothy) and Doreen.
Diane will be missed by her daughters Stacey (Bev) and Darlene (Sheldon); her grandson Porter and her sister Joan (Armand); sister-in-law Mildred and her nieces, nephews and their significant others.
Diane grew up in the West End of Winnipeg, where in her early teens she met her future husband Gerald (Jerry) Hauser. They dated for a few years going to Community Centre sock hops, hanging out with friends at Connie's Diner and meeting the gang at the North End YMCA to listen to the early Rock & Roll music of the Guess Who. At 21, she and Jerry married and started their new life together in a small house on College Avenue in which they spent their entire married life raising their family.
Diane's first love was reading, everything from History to Mystery. With her vast knowledge from all of the reading, she could travel around the Trivial Pursuit board with ease. Her other interests included old classic movies, dancing, 1950s and 1960s music, ceramics, following football and hockey on the radio and listening to Murder Mysteries on CJOB. She also enjoyed a good game of cards, needlepoint and going out with friends and family for dinner or coffee.
Our Mom, Diane, is going to be missed deeply and it is hard to encapsulate an entire life in just a few words. Through sharing fond memories and laughter Mom's life will forever live in the deepest chambers of all our hearts. Please share in our memories with your attendance at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your charity of choice.

JERRY JACK HAUSER, BORN: AUG 16, 1939, DATE OF PASSING: MAY 26, 2005; It comes with bittersweet sorrow to announce the passing of Mr. Jerry Jack Hauser on Thursday, May 26, 2005. He passed away at the age of 65 comfortably and peacefully after his short battle with cancer at the Riverview Health Centre. Jerry was surrounded by his loving family and comforted with love as he took his final steps to begin his new journey. Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Diane and his two daughters, Stacey (Bev) and Darlene (Sheldon); his loving pet Shelby; as well as his two sisters, Adeline and Mildred. All family members and his cherished friends will sadly miss him. Jerry spent his entire life growing up in Winnipeg, married Diane, and proceeded to raise his family in the heart of the North End. He began his career at the age of 19 with Canadian Pacific Railway, where he worked for 38 years before retiring at the age of 57. His truest and greatest enjoyment in his life was his family. Jerry was a passionate, generous, kind and loving soul, who never thought twice about giving unto others. All that have come to know him will be forever touched by his faithful heart. His other enjoyments in his life were his Triumph motorcycle, fishing, hunting, building model airplanes, county music, coaching and generously helping others. Our family always joked that our Dad (Jerry) helped to rebuild his own little part of the North End. He could always be found helping family, friends and neighbours with their homes. One could always find him doing odd jobs such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building garages or shingling homes. Jerry was truly a kindred spirit. A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Our wonderful, loving father and devoted husband will forever be missed, but will always be loved and his memory will be held close to our hearts. The family would encourage everyone not to send or bring flowers, but to make a donation on Jerry's behalf to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9 and/or to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley St., Winnipeg, MB.
