She was 88. Born in Passaic, She resided in East Brunswick for 50 years and then moved to Newtown, PA to live with her daughter Cynthia. Alice was a switchboard telephone operator for Macy's for over 20 years. She was a lifetime member of The Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. She was predeceased by her husband John Robert in 2002 and six brothers; Leonard, Gordon, William, Wayne, Vernon and Robert. Surviving are her daughter Cynthia and her husband Jack Stover of Newtown, PA; her sister Shirley Smith of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren Allison, Leslie and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at The United Simpson Methodist Church, in Old Bridge. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
