      MAMIE SOKALSKI, BORN: SEP 07, 1920, DATE OF PASSING: AUG 25, 2012; Victoria, BC The soul of Mamie (Mary) Cecilia Sokalski left this earth to join her beloved husband Bill, of 57 years, who passed away in 1997. She was born in Beausejour, Manitoba and raised a family with Bill in Winnipeg. Mamie was an avid cribbage player and her spirit will live on through her needlework which enrich every family member's home. Mamie is survived by her children: Victor (Pat), Don, Veronica / Roni (Allan Stone), and Dave; grandchildren: Michael, Iain (Erika), Matthew (Kirsten), Trevor, Tracy (Murray), Justin, Stephanie; step-grandchildren: Tricia (Will), David (Christine); great-grandchildren: Charlie, Graeme; step-great-grandchildren: Denise, Emily, Joanna, Austin and Tabyn. Also left to mourn are her loving cousins, sister-in-law Mae and niece Carol. She was predeceased by her two sisters Rose (Joe Palecek) and Frances (Joe Markowski), and by brothers-in-law Kas and John Sokalski. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Thanks to Dr. Buie and to the staff of Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavillion for their exceptional, heartfelt care. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Kiwanis Pavillion, 3034 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria, BC V8T 3J3 or a charity of their choice.
