Lovingly remembered by his wife Jessie; his children Robert, Ros".e Marie and Marc; stepsons Glenn (Sonya) and Ernie (Darlene); two grandchildren Derek and Cheryl; three great-grandchildren; many loving step-grandchildren; his brothers Marcien (Denise) and George (Bea); his sister Jeannette (Ed); and Jessie's children Wayne (Pauline), Brenda (Rick) Barbara (Ed) and Eric (Sherril). Wilf was predeceased by his parents, Pierre and Rhéa; his first wife, Ida; his second wife, Marie; his brothers Lucien and Alphonse; his sisters Elizabeth, Thérèse, Blanche, Yvonne and Marguerite. Born and raised in La Broquerie, Wilf was the second of 10 children. He served honourably in the Second World War. After the war, Wilf began working at Westeel where he retired after 30 years of service. Wilf was an avid sportsman and enjoyed coaching baseball for many years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #43 and a lifelong member of the Native Sons. He spent 40 happy summers at Wildewood Park in Winnipeg Beach where he enjoyed the company of family and many friends, including his dear friends Gary and Carol Ann Hainsworth. A mister fix-it, Wilf loved children and had a wonderful sense of humour. The funeral will be held at St. Joachim Church on Rue Principale in La Broquerie on Saturday, December 10 at 10:45 a.m. followed by interment in St. Joachim cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wilf's memory can be made to Kidsport Manitoba. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the staff on 5E at St. Boniface General Hospital for the kindness and care shown to Wilf.
