He had been a resident at the Betel Home for the past three years. Mike was a self taught fiddle player and enjoyed playing with his friends. He also found a hobby, having old cars and spent many hours repairing them and driving them. He was a good friend to his many neighbours and friends. Mike leaves surviving many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his parents, Katharina and Jurko (George) sisters, Justina, Maria, Polly, Jessie and Annie and brothers, Pat and Fred. He will be missed by his family, friends and his dear friend and neighbour, Fred Ronge and family. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment will follow in the St. Georges Cemetery, Wakefield. A heartfelt thanks to the Betel Home nursing staff for all their care and compassion shown to Michael.
