Ann is survived by sister Violet Rebiffe, as well as her many nieces, nephew, and brother-in-law Fred Rankel, and sister-in-law Mildred Poberezny. Ann was born and lived her life in Winnipeg, Manitoba, working as a caterer and candy maker. After the passing of her husband Michael, Ann lived independently in her home until age 86. Ann's last year brought new and wonderful people into her life, and one cannot give enough praise and thanks to the great staff at Middlechurch Home, who treated Ann with kindness, care and respect. Special thanks are due to the compassionate and caring staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, and to her wonderful friends and neighbours for the support and kindness they gave Ann through her long illness. Cremation has taken place per Ann's wishes. A memorial service for Ann Lasota will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Knysh Funeral Chapel, Unit C-1161 Fife St. (at Church Ave.), Msgr. M. Comeault officiating. Interment will be at a later date, when Ann will be laid to rest with her late husband Michael. Donations may be made in Ann's memory to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Seven Oaks Hospital, or other charity of your choice.
