LEON DEBUSSCHERE, DATE OF PASSING: OCT 04, 2003; Peacefully at the Lions Prairie Manor on Saturday, October 4, 2003, Mr. Leon Debusschere of St. Claude, MB passed away at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn his passing three brothers, Auguste (Therese) of Haywood, Edward (Rolande) of Winnipeg and Robert (Pauline) of Portage; three sisters, Angele Mazurat of St. Claude, Alice (Roland) Dondo of St. Claude and Marie-Rose Major of St. Claude; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marie-Louise (nee Durupt) two brothers-in-law, Albert Major and Albert Mazurat; a special nephew Denis Major; two nephews, Pierre and Danny Mazurat; and by one niece Cathy Mazurat. Leon was born on a farm near Forget, SK and came with the family to farm in the Haywood, MB district. Leon took over the family farm in the early sixties and operated it successfully until his retirement, when he moved to St. Claude, MB. With respect for Leons wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be celebrated in the St. Denis Roman Catholic Church in Haywood, MB on Friday, October 10, at 2:00 p.m. preceded by Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30. Fr. Jean-Jacques Serceau officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
