ROSE MARIE BALAMATOWSKI (GROSSMAN), BORN: JAN 29, 1938, DATE OF PASSING: AUG 19, 2022; Our Heavenly Father has welcomed our Angel Rose Marie home to be with her beloved parents, Jean and John Grossman.
Rose is survived by her husband Eugene and will be missed by her children: Robert (Maria), Debby (Eugene), David (Irene), Gary (Suzanne); grandchildren: Aaron (Angela); Reed (Heidi), Jennifer (predeceased); Vanessa (Drew); Jordan, Sarah (Jeremy), Stefan (Jessica); Cherie (Shannon) Aimee (Allan); great-grandchildren: Blake, Asher; River, Meadow; Chase, Aurora; William, Jack.
Rose's beloved siblings meant the world to her: John and Gladys Grossman, Jerry and Merle Grossman; Irene and John Miazga; Leona Cheys; Betty Ann and Len Fay; Art and Claudette Grossman. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, countless friends, and many nephews and nieces.
Rose was born in Prairie Grove, MB and grew up on the family farm in Lorette. Rose married Eugene on July 9, 1955, and together they shared 67 beautiful years and nurtured a legacy of love and commitment to our family. Eugene will have a void that cannot be filled with great sadness and emptiness in the years to follow. She had a career in hospitality while raising four children and later became a respected manager of Salisbury House for over 25 years. She had a positive impact on the many staff she worked with. She was a cook by nature and enjoyed hosting and welcoming all to celebrate, with an abundance of food, drinks and card games. Everyone loved a good card game with Rose.
Mom and Dad enjoyed many years camping at Oasis. She loved her time at their cabins at Redditt and Grand Beach where family traditions were created. A bench is placed in their honour on the Grand Beach Boardwalk. Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling and were snowbirds. Mom was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Bernadette's Parish and the Catholic Women's League. Mom was a compassionate and caring person who touched many lives with her kind heart and beautiful smile. She enjoyed every precious moment spent with her family. Mom was blessed with a sharp mind and a great memory.
Mom was proof that unconditional love is real, that kindness is always the best approach, and that love, family and friendships are life's greatest treasures. Mom was proud of her family. Mom's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed cuddling and holding them and bragged about each one. The grandchildren will hold a special place in their hearts for their grandmother. Our Grandma taught us everything about life, except how to live without her.
Mom was an angel walking among us and we were fortunate to have been blessed with her in our lives, Mom we miss you already. Thank you for giving us the love of family and showing us what it means to be good people. You gave to us so selflessly. We will never forget the love and compassion that you gave, not only us, but everyone you came in contact with. Mom, we will see you when we see you. Love you forever.

The service will be Wednesday, August 31, 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, and will be livestreamed
